Rebecca Wasey

Sport and Remedial Massage Therapist

As an office worker and a keen (if untalented) runner, swimmer and cyclist, Rebecca found sports massage enormously helpful in treating her sport and posture-related injuries. She finally decided to ditch the deskwork and in 2016 qualified with a BTEC level 5 qualification in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage from the Oxford School of Sports Massage.

Since 2016, Rebecca has treated people of all ages and of any fitness level with the aim of helping them stay pain-free and able to enjoy their chosen activity, whether that’s gardening, taking the dog for a walk or ultra-running across the Alps.

Rebecca uses a combination of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, soft
tissue release, muscle energy technique and neuromuscular technique to help relieve
musculoskeletal pain and improve mobility. She encourages her clients to understand the
possible causes of their problem and how they might be avoided. Where necessary, she
provides an effective and realistic rehabilitative programme to assist recovery and prevent future injury.

Rebecca is a member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM).

Rebecca (Becky) Weir

Dr of Chiropractic MChiro MMCA

Becky graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2014 and since then has successfully opened and ran her own clinic before joining the wonderful team here and Haddenham Osteopathy.

Becky studied for over 4 years to be a chiropractor and is also trained in the Epley Manoeuvre, novosonic massage and holistic massage. She really enjoys using the McTimoney method as she thoroughly believes in whole body treatments as well as utilising gentle, yet incredibly effective adjustment methods. Using this technique, Becky has found great success treating the elderly, young and those in acute pain. It’s also the ideal method if you are looking for routine maintenance care to keep existing conditions at bay.

During a treatment with Becky, she will use a full body assessment, gentle adjustments, mobilisations as well as stretches and some soft tissue release. She will also likely talk to you about habitual postures and stretches to empower you to help yourself outside of the treatment room. Becky is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and regularly attends lectures to keep up to date with current scientific literature and research.

Since returning from maternity leave, Becky can be found in clinic every Wednesday. The rest of the time she can be found (probably with food in her hair) running around after a small toddler and two dogs.
